A first official picture of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 made it to the public before the presentation. At least one variant will be available in the new color “Bora Purple”. Apart from that, the differences are limited.

After several leaks, there is now one first official picture of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 revealed by Samsung. On display is the special smartphone with a folding mechanism in the color “Bora Purple”, which the manufacturer will also be using in other top cell phones in the near future.

At least now it’s also clear that Samsung’s remains true to the previous design concept and the upcoming flip phone will not have any major differences from its direct predecessor. The buttons on the side are probably a bit larger. The protruding camera lenses can also be seen more clearly than before (source: 91 mobiles).

At first glance customers might mistake the Galaxy Z Flip 4 for its predecessor. Even with the larger folding smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy Z Fold 4, only minor changes are to be expected in terms of design. After all, the kink in the display should be less prominent on both cell phones, which was previously considered one of the biggest problems in this device category.

Samsung: New folding cell phones from August 10th?

Samsung has invited to an unpacked event for August 10th, where the new folding smartphones will most likely be presented. In addition to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4, the Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch can also be expected.

Samsung clearly dominates the market for foldable cell phones, but has to be prepared for more competition in the future. Oppo in particular wants to attack and is planning two new models. One of them should be in the design of the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
