This is the Samsung Galaxy S22 in the color ‘Bora Purple’

Samsung releases its Galaxy S22 in a new color: Bora Purple. “Bora” is the Korean word for purple. From August 10, the Galaxy S22 is for sale in the new shade. It is not yet known whether it is also available in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Samsung Galaxy S22 in Bora Purple

Samsung regularly releases new color variants of the S22 series. The shade Bora Purple has already been leaked and now Samsung has also confirmed the existence of the variant itself. The tech giant did so in a press release. According to Samsung, the color purple stands for “individuality, pushing boundaries and innovating with openness”. Well said.

At the moment it is not yet known whether the S22 in the color Bora Blue will also be available in the Netherlands and Belgium on August 10. Androidworld has raised the question with Samsung and we will update this article as soon as we know more about it.

Z Flip 4 in Bora Purple?

August 10 may also ring a bell, as it is the time when the company presents its foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. They appear together with the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Buds 2 ¨Pro. We expect at least some of those products to come out in Bora Purple as well. Of the expected phones, only the Z Flip 4 seems to take over the hue, at least if we are to believe these leaked press renders.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen an S-series phone appear in a purple hue. Previously there was Orchid Gray for the Galaxy S8, Lilac Purple for the S9 and the Violet shade of the S22 that is exclusive to phones that you buy via the official Samsung webshop. There are more exclusive shades for the S22 and S22 Plus on that webshop, namely: Cream, Graphite and Sky Blue. They complement the standard colours: Phantom White, Phantom Black, Green and Pink Gold.
