This is the new color of Google Pixel Buds A

Google has announced so much this week that it has decided to quietly release the brand new color Pixel Buds A. However, it has been seen! The new color of the earplugs is Charcoal, or: Charcoal.

Charcoal

Not a very remarkable name, because the earplugs are indeed just black. The Pixel Buds A earbuds previously appeared in the colors Clearly White and Dark Olive, so white and green, but now a third color has been added. On the outside, the earbuds are dark gray, with only black details on the ear. The inside of the charging case is also black, but the case is still white on the outside, just like that of the previously released earbuds.

With the A-series it is possible to choose ‘play’ and ‘pause’ on your earbud, in addition to ‘skip’ and ‘go back’. It is not possible to adjust the volume on the earbud itself. The earbuds cannot charge wirelessly, but use a USB-C port. You can listen to music for 5 hours in total, but if you charge them occasionally with the case, you can listen for 24 hours without needing a socket.

In-ear earbuds

The earbuds are sweat and water resistant. Google promises that the earphones stay firmly in your ear due to the special stabilization arc. It is possible to use the earbuds hands-free by saying “Hey Google” and asking the Google Assistant to play a certain song or turn up the volume. You can also talk to the Assistant by holding your finger on the earbud.

Google Pixel Buds cost 99 euros. There is also a Pro variant, which costs 219 euros. At the moment, the delivery time of these earplugs at Google partner Belsimpel is two weeks. In the Netherlands, the earplugs are also available via the Google Store. This concerns a reservation, because according to the website they will be delivered on 13 or 14 October. Unfortunately, that beautiful olive green color is not available in the Netherlands.
