This is the new app from the Instagram founders

With the development of Instagram, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger have shown good instincts. With Artifact, the two founders are now launching a new app that is intended to generate a personalized news feed.

Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger have landed a real hit with their Instagram app. Released in 2010, what was then purely a photo platform was bought by Facebook just two years later.

In 2018, however, disagreements led to the two founders of the popular app leaving the Facebook group. In the meantime, the two have founded a new company together.

What is Artifact?

With their new company, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger want to develop “ideas for next-generation social apps”. The first release should now be Artifact.

The name of the new app is made up of the words “Articles”, “Facts” and “Artificial Intelligence” – i.e. a mixture of articles, facts and artificial intelligence.

The app is currently in the beta phase, but is already available for both Android and iOS. Interested people can register for a waiting list and according to the system should be recorded “quickly”.

How should Artifact look like?
