The Moto 360, beloved by many Androidworld readers, may get a successor, one that looks very different. The smartwatch has appeared at Best Buy, including image and details.

Moto 360, a piece of history

The Moto 360, introduced in 2014, was hip and innovative at the time and also the first smartwatch on Android Wear (now Wear OS) with a round screen. In 2015, Motorola launched its successor, the Moto 360 (2015), and this variant was available in different sizes and also a sports version. In 2019, Motorola came out completely unexpectedly with a new Moto 360 smartwatch. This third generation had a classic look with a rotating bezel with adjustable buttons.

Best Buy in Canada has now put the ‘Moto Watch 70’ on its website, without officially announcing the product. 9to5Google discovered that. This watch is suspiciously similar to the ‘Motorola Watch 200’ that recently surfaced in the rumor circuit. That is more of a fitness watch for recreational athletes. Square design without Wear OS

The design of the Moto Watch 70 is somewhat inspired by the Apple Watch due to the square housing. It contains a 1.69 inch display. Furthermore, the watch has an IP67 water resistance rating, a heart rate monitor, SpO2 measurements and other typical fitness sensors, as well as built-in GPS. The store lists both Android and iOS support, as well as up to 10 days of battery life with normal use and 14 hours of battery life with continuous fitness tracking.
