Last year, the LG Velvet was the most popular smartphone of the LG manufacturer among customers. And this despite the fact that he was not his highest model. Modern design is the main attraction of this device. The smartphone offers a 6.8-inch OLED display with FullHD + resolution and a less traditional 20.5: 9 ratio. LG calls this display Cinema FullVision.

The body of the smartphone also has water resistance at the level of IP68, which is standard on LG flagships. The smartphone has also received MIL-STD 810G certification, which guarantees resistance to extreme temperatures. The selfie camera has 16 megapixels and ranks more among the standard in this category.

At the back you will find three camera sensors – the main, ultra-wide and depth sensor. These are in 48 megapixel, 8 megapixel and 5 megapixel resolutions. The main sensor is a 48-megapixel IMX586 sensor from Sony. To record video, LG Velvet uses the handy “Voice Out of Record” feature, which distinguishes the sounds of the subject you are shooting and its surroundings.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset usually appears in mid-range smartphones, and the model would deserve better at its price. On the other hand, it has 5G support. The plus is definitely that the battery with a capacity of 4300 mAh can be charged by fast charging with a power of 25 W and also by wireless charging with a power of 9 W.

The LG V60 ThinQ offers a glass round body with IP68 certification water resistance and the MIL-STD 810G military standard. The P-OLED display has 6.8 inches, a resolution of 2460 × 1080 pixels and a brightness of 500 nits. It is protected by toughened Gorilla Glass 5. There is a 10-megapixel selfie camera with a f / 1.9 brightness in the small display area.

There is a camera with three sensors on the back. The main 64-megapixel offers f / 1.7 brightness and optical stabilization. It is complemented by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a ToF sensor. The camera can record videos in 8K resolution at 26 fps and 4K videos at 60 fps. The audio equipment includes a 32-bit Quad DAC output, stereo speakers, 4 microphones and a 3.5 mm jack.

The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and 8 GB RAM take care of Android 10 with LG UX 9.0. There is also a new 5G Snapdragon X55 modem, which supports mmWave and sub-6GHz networks. 128 GB memory can be expanded with micro SD cards. There is no Wi-Fi 6 or NFC chip. The battery has a large capacity of 5000 mAh and is charged by Quick Charge 4+ by fast charging or wireless charging.

However, the most interesting element of the smartphone is the accessories in the form of a secondary display. We could also see it in the previous flag model. However, the LG V60 ThinQ is charged from the smartphone’s battery via the USB-C connector. The secondary P-OLED display has 6.8 inches, FHD + resolution and is adjustable in 360 degrees.

It can be used to display notifications, application controls, keyboard, gamepad or for multitasking applications. It also serves as a detachable cover for the main display. The smartphone itself measures 169.3 × 77.6 × 8.9 millimeters and weighs 214 grams. It will go on sale in white and blue at the end of spring for an unspecified price.

The LG Wing is sure to impress with its unconventional design. It has a 6.8-inch FHD + P-OLED display, which when rotated reveals a secondary 3.9-inch G-OLED display. It will serve as a keyboard, gamepad or other controller for various applications in the system. The body itself has water resistance certification IP54.

What the LG Wing doesn’t care about is the processor, which on the one hand offers decent performance, but on the other hand is not a flagship. We are talking about the Snapdragon 765G processor, which appeared earlier in the LG Velvet model. There is also 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal memory and a 4,000 mAh battery.

LG has tried to save the reputation of this mobile phone with cameras. The main sensor has 64 megapixels, then there is a 13 MP ultra wide sensor and another 12 MP ultra wide, large-pixel sensor (this name was invented by LG, not us). We have no idea what this mobile phone has two ultra wide cameras for, but at least we would find a reason. One of the sensors can record video, while the other is only used for photography.

LG mentions that the camera also has the function of Gimbal Motion Camera (Slovak translation sounds bad – a moving camera with a gimbal, ie a stabilizing stand). This allows you to use the second screen as a holder.

A few other photo / video options mentioned are: “joystick”, which allows you to adjust the camera angle, Focus mode, which reduces blur and vibration, a function called Follow, which will focus on the moving subject and create a smoother shot and first person view which allows you to create rhythmic and dynamic movements.

LG K61

The middle class LG K61 model has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD Fullvision display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It features a 16-megapixel selfie camera. On the bottom is a camera with four sensors. The primary 48-megapixel sensor is followed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel macro and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The performance is provided by the 8-core Mediatek Helio P35 chipset, which supports 4 GB of RAM.

The data is stored in 128 GB of storage space, which you can expand with a microSD card. Like the higher models, the LG K61 is MIL STD 810 resistant to extreme temperatures. The smartphone does not lack Dual SIM support and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor on the back may seem out of date.

LG K52

The LG K52 is a lower-end smartphone, and the parameters match it. It offers a small Helio P35 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory expandable with microSD cards up to 2 TB. A 13-megapixel selfie camera is housed in the small aperture of the 6.6-inch HD + IPS display. The Android 10 operating system is complemented by the LG user interface.

The fingerprint sensor is located in the right side button. At the back is the main camera with a 48-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. There is also a pair of 2-megapixel sensors. One is for macro shots, the other for background blur. Connectivity is provided by LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, USB-C and a 3.5 mm jack. The battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh.

LG K41S

The LG K41S is designed for less demanding users. The display has a diagonal of 6.5 inches and a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. This model is also MIL-STD 810G certified, so you don’t have to worry about extreme temperatures. The eight-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and 3 GB of RAM are complemented by 32 GB of storage, which can be expanded with microSD cards up to 2 TB in size. The Android operating system is also in this case in version 10 with the LG UX extension.

In addition to the fingerprint reader, there are four cameras on the back. The main 13-megapixel complements the 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera. You will be able to use a 2-megapixel macro sensor to capture close subjects, and a depth sensor with the same resolution will be used to blur the background.
