The option is already baked into WhatsApp’s settings. Ke can export chats there, which is not only for sharing conversations with others, but also for moving your chats to another chat app.

Roadmap
- Open WhatsApp

For now, it remains to wait for more ways to export your WhatsApp chats. For example, it is not yet possible to export your conversations directly from WhatsApp to the privacy-friendly Signal.
