This is how you play Diablo Immortal in the Netherlands and Belgium

Diablo Immortal is blocked in the Netherlands and Belgium, but luckily you can get around that pretty easily via PC, Android and iOS.

Diablo fans from the Netherlands and Belgium recently had to take a big blow: Diablo Immortal is simply not available with us. Blizzard’s latest dungeon crawler is not playable here due to scant anti-loot box laws. Unless you want to put in a little bit of extra effort; then it actually turns out to be quite easy to get that done.

Play Diablo Immortal in the Netherlands and Belgium

Depending on which platform you want to play Diablo Immortal on, getting the game with a VPN is quite easy. Sometimes that is not even necessary. In most cases, you only need to create an account with a VPN.

A small disclaimer: because Dutch and Belgian laws have banned the gameplay mechanics of loot boxes, it is actually not allowed to play the game. You won’t be thrown in jail, but your account could (eventually) get banned. Using a good VPN could prevent this.

Now, how do you still check Diablo Immortal in the Netherlands and Belgium? Let’s go through all the available platforms.

On PC:

Create a new Battle.net account and choose a country where Diablo Immortal is available when entering your details. The email address you use must not have been used for a Blizzard account before.
Start a VPN connection to an unblocked country (for example, choose Germany, France or the UK for a good connection) and launch Battle.net.
Install Diablo Immortal from Battle.net or download the game directly from Blizzard.com.
You can now play the game as long as your VPN connection remains enabled.

On Android:

Create a new Google account with a VPN enabled. In this way, the location for the account is set correctly.
Your VPN can now be disabled; download Diablo Immortal from the Play Store.
Tip: Check in your Google account settings under General -> Account and device preferences whether the correct country is set on your new account.

On iOS:

Create a new iCloud account, this can be done without a VPN. When creating the account, choose a region where the game is not blocked.
Download Diablo Immortal from the App Store.
Tip: Check under Media and Purchases in the settings whether the location of your new account is set correctly.
