Download iOS 14.8 and iPadOS 14.8
iOS 14.8 and iPadOS 14.8 are now available. The updates seem to bring little news, although the update seems “big” because of the naming. Apple may have fixed security issues and annoying bugs. So it is advisable to update your iPhone and iPad as soon as possible.
How to install iOS 14.8 and iPadOS 14.8:
- Hang your iPhone or iPad on the charger, or make sure the battery is at least 50 percent full;
- Open the Settings app and tap “General”;
- Choose ‘Software Update’ and follow the instructions on the screen.
Once Apple releases an update, many people will want to download the software. This may mean that the update may not yet be available on your iPhone. Just be patient and try again later.
Latest update of iOS 14 before the arrival of iOS 15
iOS 14.8 is likely the last update to iOS 14 before iOS 15 is available. However, Apple has indicated not to force anyone to update to iOS 15. So users can continue to receive security updates for iOS 14. How that works exactly is not yet known.
iOS 15 will be available with the arrival of the iPhone 13. That is expected sometime in the coming weeks.
