Instagram: The place that only seems anonymous
with over 31 million users Instagram is one of the most important platforms in Germany. Nominally, the big brother Facebook still has a higher number of registered users. However, the proverbial momentum is of course on the side of the picture platform.
While many users believe that they can use Instagram largely anonymously, the reality is actually different – and always has been. For example, other Instagram users could see which posts you liked and which you didn’t for a few years.
Neither are your activities secret. Sharing an Instagram post in Story? This is by no means a secret for the creator of a post. Or to put it another way: Anyone who creates an Instagram post knows exactly who is spreading their own post in the vastness of the social network.
However, many users do not know this. They think that the posts of celebrities or stars that they share on their own Instagram Stories are no longer visible. However, that is not correct.
That’s why we want to show you how to see who shared your posts in their stories in a special edition of How To.
In the first step you open for it your Instagram profile. Then you click on the contributionwhere you are interested in the story shares. Then you click on the three horizontal points in the upper right corner of the picture.
Now you can see all available information. For example, you can archive the post or remove it from the profile grid. If you “View Shared Stories‘ you can see who has mentioned your posts in their stories.
An important note: this feature is not always available as shared story content disappears after 24 hours. So if you are interested in your shares, you should check here more often after posting.
For creators and users, there is actually nothing better than strangers who share their own posts on Instagram in their stories. In this way, as an influencer, you generate: in unpaid reach. You will also reach a new audience.
For this reason, you should check the shared stories regularly. Reach out to the people spreading your post and thank them. This personal touch reflects positively on you and your account.
