Many people dream of emigrating. But not every country is suitable as a permanent place to work and live. In our weekly ranking, we show you the ten worst travel destinations in the world.

Goodbye Germany: Almost 250,000 Germans emigrated in 2021 and tried their luck abroad. The advantages of emigrating are manifold: learning a foreign language, improving your CV or gaining new life experiences. But not all travel destinations are suitable for a permanent stay abroad.

“Internations” is a network for people who live and work abroad. For the seventh time in a row, the platform has published the study “Expat Insiders‘, which identifies the best and bad destinations for emigrating. More than 12,000 people took part in the survey.

The hour includes 37 factors from the main categories of quality of life, acclimatization in the host country, work, finances, cost of living and general satisfaction. In the following ranking we present the results and thus the worst travel destinations for emigration.

10th place: Malta

Malta is in tenth place in the ranking. Above all, a lack of digitization and low satisfaction with regard to living space and rents make the archipelago not a good country to emigrate according to the analysis.
