This is how much an RTL Plus subscription will cost in 2023
How expensive is RTL Plus in 2023? That depends on the different packages of the streaming service. These also determine which content is available and whether RTL displays advertising during streaming. These are the costs for an RTL Plus subscription at a glance.
In 2007, RTL paved the way for its in-house streaming service, which was then known as “RTL Now”. Almost ten years later, in March 2016, the media company rebranded its entertainment platform as TV Now. Since November 4, 2021, the streaming service has again been called “RTL Plus”.
RTL Plus costs: How expensive is an RTL Plus subscription?
Since then, RTL has increasingly relied on collaborations with well-known partner companies and cross-media content. The term “cross-media” means communication and interaction across multiple media channels. RTL Plus combines its visual offerings with audio content such as music titles, audio books and podcasts, for example.
RTL is therefore cooperating with the music streaming service Deezer, for example. With the RTL Plus Max subscription, users have access to Deezer content via the RTL Plus music app. Deutsche Telekom has also integrated RTL Plus, like TV Now, into its Magenta TV offering and links use with exclusive discount benefits.

How much does RTL Plus cost?
RTL Plus has a total of three different subscriptions. In contrast to numerous other streaming services, the entertainment platform also offers a free package with “RTL Plus Free”. However, users have to accept advertising when streaming.
Also, the Free package does not include all content. All series, films and shows included are also only available after the TV broadcast. Anyone who would like to consume the RTL content beforehand can do so via the paid packages “RTL Plus Premium” and “RTL Plus Max”. These also offer other advantages compared to the free subscription.
This is how much an RTL Plus subscription will cost in 2023
- RTL Plus Free: Free (with ads). Content only available after TV broadcast.
- RTL Plus Premium: 4.99 euros per month with a maximum of one minute of advertising.
- RTL Plus Max: 9.99 euros per month (without advertising), including Deezer. Two parallel streams possible.
The RTL Plus Max subscription includes according to RTL also a download function. After six months of use, however, the subscription costs EUR 12.99 instead of EUR 9.99 from the seventh month. However, RTL offers a 30-day free trial for both the Premium and Max subscriptions. Both packages can be canceled with a notice period of 30 days.
