iOS 16.4 improves Music app with tweaks

The beta of iOS 16.4, currently offered to developers, brings some new features, including changes to the Music application. This is partly about Apple Music.

The button to access the profile in Apple Music now appears at the top of the screen in the Library tab. It was already displayed in the Listen and Explore tabs, now it is now in Library. By tapping it, you can access your Apple Music profile and other settings.

Apple has also changed the feedback interface for some Music app actions. For example, when you add a song to the queue, the app now displays a small card at the bottom of the screen confirming the action. Previously, the app displayed a large map in the middle of the screen.

On the other hand, the playlists menu now displays album covers in a smaller size, so that more playlists are displayed on the screen at once. Some of the buttons in the app have also been slightly modified.

Note that Apple Classical is still not present. It will be the streaming application dedicated to classical music. Apple had been aiming for release before the end of 2022, but it didn’t happen. It will obviously not be with iOS 16.4.
