This is how Jessie Jazz Vuijk prepares for her delivery

Jessie Jazz keeps her followers on Instagram well informed about her pregnancy. “I secretly hope he takes his time. It still feels so good to be pregnant. Feeling him more and more and slowly getting ready for motherhood. It’s only now starting to sink in: ‘I’m going to be a mother’.” Still, she can’t ignore the fact that time goes by very fast and her delivery won’t take long.

Fascination with giving birth

She says that she has had a fascination for giving birth for years and now that it is her turn soon, she wants to prepare herself as well as possible for this miracle. “I am slowly preparing. I tackle everything and immerse myself completely in all the knowledge that is already there. Eventually my body will do this and I can leave my head, but it gives so much confidence to know how brilliantly the childbirth process works.”

“The more I learn about it, the more I see how wonderful this process is,” she writes. She shares some childbirth videos and writes: “Giving birth is the biggest thing I will ever do in my life. Just think about it: it’s the most natural and the most spiritual.”

How does Jessie Jazz prepare?

Among other things, she follows the course ‘Giving birth like a boss’ from House of Mothers. “I’m getting even more confident and looking forward to it,” she writes about it. She also made a birth plan.

“My intention is a home birth with my birth team,” she says. Together with a midwife, doula, Kaj and her mother. “I believe in good preparation. You don’t know how it will turn out, but I prepare myself for everything.” In addition, she also makes a hospital plan, in case things turn out differently. “Then I let it go and trust my body, baby, team and the process.”
