The announcement of this fast scooter took place about a month ago. There is now an update on the project. Segway Ninebot launched the scooter as an Indiegogo crowdfunding project.
It has been hard ever since. The American company hoped to raise 45,000 euros with this new electric e-scooter. However, the responses were overwhelming. More than 640,000 euros has already been raised on Indiegogo. In short, this device is really coming.
A price tag is also known. Early birds managed to get hold of a copy via Indiegogo for 2,262 euros. Delivery is in August. The retail price will eventually come to an expected 3,000 euros.
The Segway GT2 e-scooter has a top speed of 70 kilometers per hour. The thing is equipped with a 1500W dual motor. The range is up to 90 kilometers. There are 6 different riding modes. For example a mode to save the battery as much as possible, but also a maximum attack mode. What is also cool is that you can set the chassis in 15 different positions. So just what you like.
At the time of writing, eight people have secured a copy for 2,262 euros as an early bird. A total of 50 units of the Segway GT2 e-scooter will be sold for this price through Indiegogo.
