What if GIGA readers could simply design the iPhone of their dreams themselves? We can now present the result of this very exciting consideration in the form of an exclusive concept.
Not so long ago we asked our readers what it should be like, the iPhone of the future. The answer to this was clear and some popular technologies surprisingly failed, for example foldable displays, as we recently saw again from Samsung, have no chance with the GIGA fans. Also, nobody seriously wants the time-honored headphone connection back. But what do the readers want then?

Now there is the result of the enlightening wish list as a concept worth seeing, made by the talented designer Jonas Dähnert. The main requirement is the desire of our readers, with their answers they set the direction for the Apple cell phone. So what does it look like, this very special iPhone?
The first look creates trust: Still looks like a typical iPhone, why should you completely change something that is almost perfect, even just to change your self-will? Much more important are there Detail improvements like the fast OLED screenwhich, according to the wishes of the GIGA readers, should display 120 images per second and thus guarantee a much smoother experience with moving images.
By the way, nobody misses the notch, i.e. the well-known display notch – it can be removed. the The front camera is now hidden under the display and is only visible when it is needed. How could Apple do this? A patent that has just become public already reveals it. So Apple is seriously experimenting with display elements that temporarily make space for a camera and quasi “duck” – pretty crazy. But what should it be, after all, this is where we are designing the iPhone of the future.

So far, quite a few contemporaries have been bothered by the camera hump, so it is easy to eliminate it and create a flat and even back without any blemishes. Apple users want it simple and not playful. But this also has its price or a certain side effect. Our iPhone is clearly gaining ground and has a little more on its ribs. Well, because only a larger battery also fits into the case. In this way and no other way, the Apple cell phone lasts much longer. We can do without a thin but less useful waist.
The display then offers a special feature that Apple has only known from the Apple Watch: a Always-on display. As the name suggests, it stays on all the time – notifications, the weather and much more remain in the user’s field of vision. In order not to use electricity unnecessarily, there is no bright and colored display. The same applies here: less is more.
Last, but not least: Of course we are also giving this iPhone a new coat of paint. To be honest, we didn’t even ask our readers about it, but we were of the opinion that a little fresh color couldn’t hurt. Looks nice, this “metallic orange”, doesn’t it? Even if you will not be able to buy this iPhone from Apple now and will probably not be able to buy it in the future, it shows impressively what our readers really expect from an Apple mobile phone – good to know.
