Made for survival

The inReach Mini 2 can be used anywhere in the world and is a perfect gadget for lovers of survival, long walks and wild camping. The device can send SOS, SMS and location messages via satellite connection. So you are not dependent on the transmitter master.

In standard configuration in good weather, the tracker’s battery lasts roughly 14 days. Then your location is recorded every 10 minutes. In forested areas or in cloudy weather, the battery life drops drastically. If you only use the device as a possible SOS machine, the Garmin inReach Mini 2 can be on standby for up to a year.

The device has a very compact size: 5.17 x 9.90 x 2.61 cm. Nevertheless, the gadget is said to be incredibly robust, withstand heavy blows and with an IPX7 rating.

However, there is a hefty price tag for your emergency gadget. The Garmin inReach Mini 2 is sold for about 350 euros. The cheapest subscription then costs roughly 10 euros per month (based on an annual subscription).

Without a subscription, it is of little use and then the cheapest subscription still has significant limitations such as a maximum of 10 custom messages per month and an additional $0.10 per location request. The most expensive subscription costs more than 43 euros per month and offers unlimited amounts of messages, location requests and tracking.
