With the next big update to iOS 15, owners of some iPhones can expect the end of support. Reports suggest that the popular, compact iPhone SE from 2016 has to believe in it.
Half a year before WWDC 2021 and a few months after the final release of iOS 14, the first rumors about the successor are circulating from quite reliable sources. According to them, in contrast to the update from iOS 13 to iOS 14, Apple will block a few iPhone models the way to the next major update.

iOS 15: iPhone E (2016) and 6s should no longer receive an update

While The Verifier only provided information about iPhones, iPhonesoft also wants to know which iPads should get the update to iPadOS 15. According to the website, both the iPad Mini 4, which was launched in September 2015, and the iPad Air 2, which was launched in October 2014, could fall out of the update cycle. These devices are powered by Apple’s A8 and A8X processors.
