A number of manufacturers are very clear about their update policy, but for a large part the information provision is still only moderate. Now Xiaomi and Poco are sharing an update schedule. In this we see which devices can expect a new security update over what time.

Xiaomi provides more clarity about which devices can receive an update when. Unfortunately, no clear word about updates to Android 12 yet, but about the appearance of security updates. It seems that Xiaomi doesn’t seem to be switching to monthly security updates. Only for the Android One devices will security updates appear every month. These are the Xiaomi Mi A3, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite.

Earlier, the brand already announced that four MIUI updates can be expected for most devices. Below we have listed which devices according to Xiaomi can expect an update every quarter. We do miss a number of devices in the overview; such as the Poco F3, the Mi 10 Ultra, the Mi 11 and the Mi 11 Pro. It is not clear why these are not included.

Xiaomi:
