These classic movies will be gone soon

Amazon Prime Video customers are staring down the drain again: almost 20 more films will soon disappear from the film library. The reason can be found at Paramount+. The new provider is shaking up the German streaming landscape.

Amazon Prime Video: More films are disappearing

At the end of last year, another streaming provider entered the German market with Paramount+. A short time later it became apparent that the new offer specific impact on Amazon Prime Video customers has. A few weeks ago, some Paramount classics disappeared from the Amazon subscription. If you want to keep watching them, you’ll have to switch to Paramount+.

As it turns out now, the farewell to Paramount films is entering the next round. From February 17th almost 20 films from Prime Video disappear again. Licensing agreements between Amazon and Paramount apparently expire on this day. Amazon can then only offer the affected films for sale and rental, but no longer as part of Prime membership.

Among the films are also three Star Trek titles. Fans of “Star Trek: The Future Is Here”, “Star Trek VIII: First Contact” and “Star Trek Into Darkness” only have a few days left to watch the titles on Prime Video (Source: golem.de).

Other movies like “The Truman Show”Monster Trucks, Watchmen, A Christmas Miracle, One And One Makes Four, Maximum Ride: Experiment Angels, and The She-Women Club will also be discontinued.

Which streaming provider wins the comparison?

Paramount+; Not all films in their own portal

The fact that some films have already been removed from the Amazon range does not necessarily mean that they can subsequently also be seen on Paramount+. So far, the streaming provider transfer only some of the films to their own portal. It is unclear if and when all titles will end up on Paramount+.
