Developer makes controversial decision for full action
Battlefield 2042 will be bigger than all of its predecessors and will double the number of players. But what. when there aren’t enough players? The developers have a solution. with which maybe not all players agree.

In Battlefield 2042 there will be battles with up to 128 players give. At least on that PC, the PS5 and the Xbox Series X / S, because the consoles of the last generations do not have enough power for the “All-out Warfare” modes and will stay with the known 64 players. With such high players, it can take a while outside of peak hours. until enough virtual soldiers have found themselves so that it doesn’t degenerate, developer DICE wants to fill up with bots.
Bots cannot be turned off
Like DICE’s website The Verge reported, Battlefield 2042 will always prioritize human players and fill up the rounds with the AI soldiers. When the AI is no good
According to DICE, the AI is still being worked on hard and should receive further adjustments based on player data from possibly the beta and at the latest from normal game operations from the release. If the players have to play with bots, they should at least be able to do something.
At the Battle Royale PUBG, bots were introduced in early 2020 pretty backfired. Not only were the bots incapable of cannon fodder, they also destroyed the exciting gameplay of being the last human player. How that ends for Battlefield remains to be seen, of course.
The developers told The Verge that they would soon have new information about the bots in Battlefield 2042. It is already known that players can play each map and each mode alone and in co-op with or against bots. Battlefield 2042 will be released on October 22, 2021.
