These are the winners of 7.5 Years of DroidApp: Photo Contest, Word Search & More
Although the nice weather did not materialize, there was plenty of reason to party this summer. We celebrated our 7.5 year anniversary! And we did that together with you. It’s time to share the winners with you; the winners of the DroidApp Photo Contest, the Word Search and the other giveaways!

DroidApp Photo Contest Winners
At the beginning of July, we kicked off our birthday with the DroidApp Photo Contest. We have all received very nice entries, for which we would first like to thank you very much. Together with various manufacturers we can give away fantastic prizes, so it is certainly a reason to send in your best photo. That was certainly done! What was the best photo taken with a smartphone? Three public prizes were raffled; DroidApp readers chose their favourites. In addition, the editors of DroidApp awarded two jury prizes. But what did we and you think were the best photos?
1st prize: audience
A winter picture takes off with the most votes. The photo ‘Ice Fun Veluwemeer’ was taken by Pascal Velthuyzen, and he took this beautiful photo with the Samsung Galaxy S10e. Pascal wins the Nokia X20.
“Photo was taken during the ice days in February 2021. You can see the reeds next to the Veluwemeer with Zeewolde in the background.”
2nd prize: audience
The voters could appreciate this autumn photo of Monique Grootveld. The fall colors in Boston were captured during Indian Summer. The second public award is for Monique who took the photo with the Moto G2. Monique wins the Western Digital My Passport 1TB hard drive. Congratulations!

3rd prize: audience
The third public prize goes to the photo ‘Sunset above the floodplains’. This photo was taken by Sandra Aardma with her Samsung Galaxy A72. Congratulations, you win the OnePlus Urban Explorer Backpack.

1st prize: jury
Gertjan Aalpoel’s photo also received many votes from the public, but just not enough to finish first in the first three. That is not a problem, however, because this beautiful Sunrise was the jury’s favorite. The photo was taken with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, winning the Moto G100 with Ready For Dock.
“It was a foggy morning, the sun was trying its best to break through the clouds. Driving over the dike, I was suddenly surprised with this almost un-Dutch view. Bus along the side of the road, open the window and quickly took a picture. Long live the fine phone camera!”
2nd prize: jury
We’ll admit it; choosing a second winner was a very difficult choice. In the end, the majority of the editors opted for the photo ‘Setting sun’ by Sanne Rieschke, shot with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Sanne wins a Sony Xperia 5 II with this beautiful photo.
“I took this photo during a sunset in France. The cow thought it was just a little weird. You overlook Evaux-Les-Bains from here.”
Vote
Those who voted for their favorite photos in the DroidApp Photo Contest also had a chance to win a prize. The Huawei Band 6 is for… Eva! Congratulations!
word search
We have received many submissions with our DroidApp Word Search. It was therefore wonderful to relax with this word search, for example at your holiday address. We have drawn two random participants who submitted the correct solution of the DroidApp Word Search: “Celebrate summer with DroidApp”.

Facebook action
On Facebook we had a giveaway with a calculation. A winner was drawn who had shared the correct answer; the solution of the calculation was indeed 75. Raymond was one of the participants who had sent in the correct answer. He wins the Huawei Band 6. Congratulations!
