These are the movies you can look forward to this year

Service Netflix iinvests in the production of its own content hundreds of millions a year and this year we can look forward to a number of her new films. Some of them showed up in an official trailer this week. In the following lines, we will look at the most interesting titles of Netflix for the year 2022.

The Gray Man

Probably Netflix’s most anticipated film in 2022 is the spy action thriller The Gray Man. The main reason is its huge budget. The film was to cost more than $ 200 million, and a significant portion of that amount fell on the royalties of major acting stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. In addition to them, Ana de Armas and Wagner Moura (Pablo Escobar from the series Narcos) will also appear in the film. Part of the film was shot in Prague.

The main character of the film is a former CIA agent and professional killer Court Gentry, who is nicknamed Gray Man. During his mission, he discovers that the team sent to save him actually wants to kill him. The main character is to be played by the aforementioned Ryan Gosling, and the central motif in the film will be a deadly duel with his former colleague Lloyd Hansen, played by Chris Evans.

Knives Out 2

This year we should also look forward to the continuation of the excellent detective Knives Out, who was a very pleasant surprise two years ago. The main character was the quirky and charming detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, who dealt with the death of a rich author of detective stories at his residence among members of his quarrelsome eccentric family.

Not much is known about the story itself. The main character will again be Detective Benoit Blanc, but we will see a completely new cast in the supporting roles. As in the first film, it will be full of famous names. The two will play Dave Bautista, Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton, Jessica Henwick, Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson and Jada Pinketh-Smith.

Blonde

Few actresses are as often referred to as femme fatale today as Cuban-Spanish beauty Ana de Armas. The film will be based on the book of the same name by the author Joyce Carol Oates, who provided a fictional look at the tragic life of the legendary star.

The Killer

Director David Fincher’s films are always a film event, and the same is expected of his novel The Killer. The author of the cult films Seven and the Battleclub Club will present another of his chilling crimes inspired by French comics. The main character is to be a principled serial killer, but in a world without a moral compass, he is increasingly subject to darkness. The great role will be played by the great actor Michael Fassbender.

All Quiet on the Western Front

This year, Netflix will also bring us an adaptation of the book Nothing New in the West, written by Erich Maria Remarque. The book is a critique of the First World War, in which the main character Paul Bäumer first experiences bullying in military training and later encounters cruelty right on the front line. The main role was played by Daniel Brühl, who is known for portraying Niki Laud in the film Rivali.
