The topic of sustainability can not only have immense image advantages for companies, but also be cost-efficient and promote a conscious use of resources. But which listed companies make it onto the list of the most sustainable companies in the world?

The most sustainable companies on the stock exchange

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is considered one of the world’s largest investor initiatives. The association has around 700 members. Based on a database on the subject of environmental protection, the initiative this year examined almost 15,000 companies on the subject of climate change, forests and water security.

In the following ranking we show you the results and thus the twelve most sustainable companies on the stock exchange. Only one of the twelve top companies with an AAA rating comes from Germany.

12. UPM-Kymmene Corporation

UPM is a Finnish company specializing in the manufacture of paper, pulp and wood products. From the sourcing of raw materials to the paper cycle, UPM strives for and can demonstrate sustainability. Because according to the CDP analysis, the company received the best possible rating of AAA.
