Founding a start-up: This is considered hip and innovative. But the choice of location plays a major role for young entrepreneurs. In our weekly ranking, we therefore show you the ten best cities to set up a start-up.
Depending on the business model, young entrepreneurs have to take various criteria into account. The factors trade tax rate, GDP growth per capita, the number of office spaces, the number of new business registrations per year, the average salary and the average rental costs for a one-room apartment are important.
The best cities to launch a startup
To help potential start-ups choose their location, the Business name generator analyzed the 25 most populous cities in Germany and identified the best cities to found.
In addition to the location criteria already mentioned, the analysis also took into account the general cost of living and people’s satisfaction with life. In the following ranking we present the results.
10th place: Bonn
In tenth place among the best cities for founders is the western German city of Bonn. In 2021 there were 145,975 start-ups, while the GDP per capita is 80,288 euros.
