These altcoins would have made you a lot of money in 2021

If you had invested in these altcoins in January 2021, you would have achieved a nice return by the end of this year. View the overview.

2021 was another excellent year for investing in cryptocurrency. Bitcoin, but also many altcoins turned out to be a good investment. In this overview we looked back on the past year. Which altcoins would have made you a lot of money in 2021 if you had invested in them?

This is just a retrospective and not financial advice. Investing in altcoins is extremely risky and does not guarantee success on returns.

Dogecoin

2021 also saw enough hypes in the field of cryptocurrency. Dogcoin was such a hype that kind of took off in the spring of this year. On January 1, the altcoin price was still at 0.005 dollar cents. At the moment that is 0.17 dollar cents. A 240 percent return if you sold now. Not bad!

Shiba Inu

Another coin that created a lot of hype. Basically a rip off of Dogecoin if you look at the name. Here too, the dog breed Shiba Inu forms a kind of mascot of the coin. At the beginning of this year, no one knew of the coin’s existence. Now you’re a bacon buyer and you’re feeling warm.

Ethereum

Ethereum had a very strong year of all altcoins in 2021, including a new all-time high. If you had invested on January 1, you would now have a return of over 450 percent. Whoops, that’s nice.

ripple

Even Ripple had a strong year. More than 250 percent increase this year so far. In January, the price of the coin stood at 0.24 dollar cents. Now that is 0.84 euro cents. An excellent return.

Stellar

While Bitcoin was up some 60 percent this year, even Steller went faster than 100 percent. At the beginning of this year, the exchange rate stood at 0.13 cents. The exchange rate has now risen to 0.27 euro cents.

..And the rest

This is just a selection of the many altcoins that were and are in 2021. We have deliberately included the well-known cryptos. The lesser-known coins went much faster, with a return of more than 1,000 percent, for example. In short, the sky’s the limit. All in all, despite the declines this fall, 2021 was an excellent year for investing in cryptocurrency. Percentage wise.
