Even before the energy crisis, Germany set a date for phasing out nuclear power. Now there is an extension of nuclear power in the room. Meanwhile, other nations are also relying on nuclear power plants in the long term. In our weekly ranking, we therefore show you the ten countries with the most nuclear reactors.

Nuclear power plants and nuclear power are not only extremely complex, but also a potential danger for people and the environment. Many nuclear power plants are also located in places that pose an additional risk – for example on coasts or in earthquake zones.

Nuclear Power: Which Countries Have the Most Nuclear Reactors?

A recent analysis of extra shows which countries currently have the most operational reactors in nuclear power plants. In Germany, six power plants are still connected to the grid, but only three power plants have operational reactors.

In an international comparison, Germany is in 20th place. In the following ranking, we show you the ten countries that have the most operational reactors at their disposal.

10th place: United Kingdom

Tenth place in the ranking goes to the United Kingdom with aktuell ten operational reactors. The island state plans in the future even with the Installation two other nuclear power plants.
