This week, it seemed that Samsung will no longer release new Galaxy Note smartphones, but a new rumor claims that a Note model will indeed appear in 2021. This could be the last series.

‘A Galaxy Note in 2021 after all’
It has long been rumored that this year’s Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are the last Note smartphones. An anonymous, senior Samsung employee now says to the South Korean Yonhap News that a Note series will indeed be released in 2021. “We are preparing to release a Galaxy Note line in 2021.”
Other Galaxy’s get Note features
The statement from the Samsung employee is striking because most of the signals indicate an end of the Note line. Press agency Reuters indicated to have heard from three sources that the Galaxy Note 20 series will not be followed up.
Samsung itself reported this week that more Galaxy smartphones will come with the S-Pen in 2021. This is the signature stylus pen from the Note series. The source of Yonhap News says about this: “this explanation does not mean the end of the Note line.”
The manufacturer may be slowly preparing Note fans for the approaching end, and one more Note generation will appear before the Galaxy S series and foldable smartphones take over. The upcoming Galaxy S21 Ultra seems like the first step. This smartphone will reportedly get an S-Pen and will be announced on January 14.
