This is what the iPhone 13 Pro teardown tells us

Apple is a mysterious company. For example, the company never discloses all specifications of new products. Take the iPhone 13. Thanks to the commercials, we know that the device can play videos for up to 19 hours in a row, but Apple does not mention how big the battery is exactly.

Fortunately, there are parties like iFixit. It has become a tradition that this company disassembles the new iPhones to see what parts are inside. The handy Harry’s have dissected the iPhone 13 Pro this time and there is both good and bad news.

Good news…

Starting with the positive news. Replacing the battery is fairly easy. For example, according to iFixit, you can ‘just’ plug a battery from the iPhone 12 Pro into the iPhone 13 Pro. Your device will then give a warning, but there are no further actions associated with it.

Taking apart the iPhone 13 Pro is also easy, according to iFixit. Once the screen is loose, you should be able to reach the battery fairly easily. This is of course good news, because there is a good chance that you will have to have your battery replaced.

… and bad news

But, repairing an iPhone 13 Pro is not easy in all cases. iFixit, for example, indicates that it is very difficult to replace the speaker.

That’s because it’s now incorporated into the housing, and no longer in the screen notch. As a result, the iPhone 13 Pro has a smaller notch, but repairing the speaker is therefore a lot more difficult, according to the repair company. You simply have to go through a lot more steps before you get to this.
