Compared to the Pro models, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus lead a shadowy existence. At least the standard models can score with a feature that makes repairs easier. This is made possible by a special back that hasn’t existed since the iPhone 4s.

If you want the best of the best in the iPhone world, you go for the Pro models – that much is known. But never before has the gap between the standard and professional versions been as large as it is this year. Apple doesn’t even give the new A16 chip to the smartphones that have to be content with the one-year-old A15. Clumsies could still be in better hands with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

Whose Glass back should be easy to replace, making repairs easier (via: iMore). In the past, replacing the glass back involved having to disassemble the entire iPhone. Last had that iPhone 4s from 2011 has an easily detachable glass back.

It is not yet clear why Apple made this change. The US group may want to make repairs to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus easier. Via a more easily interchangeable glass back on both However, nothing is currently known about the Pro models in the series.

Despite being easier to repair, buyers of the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Plus should really want to play it safe but get Apple Care+. While the service is far from cheap, starting at €179 for the iPhone 14 (€40 more for the iPhone 14 Plus) for two years, it offers unlimited repairs. And they can cost money: Apple recently raised the prices for battery replacement.
