The Xbox Series X interface will finally be in 4K -apkrig resolution

If you own a large 4K TV and connect an Xbox Series X to it, you’ve probably noticed that when viewed up close, the console interface doesn’t look very satisfying. The reason is clear and was discussed before the launch of the console last fall – the entire dashboard runs in 1080p resolution, unlike the PlayStation 5 environment, which is available in 4K resolution from the start. However, the differences in this field will disappear as soon as Microsoft sees a new full-resolution dashboard in the firmware test version, although it is not entirely certain at this time what the menu will look like on the Xbox Series S. Even the weaker of the two new Xbox models available but it handles 4K output, so it’s likely that Microsoft won’t make any difference.

The information was published in an article that deals with the upcoming firmware changes and mentions the main menu resolution in the first place. “With today’s update, Alpha Skip-Ahead users on the Xbox Series X connected to a 4K TV can begin using the higher-definition interface. This change affects the Home, Guide, and other parts of the interface, which will be in native resolution, which will increase the sharpness and readability of the text, ”explains Microsoft. At the same time, it is necessary to underline once again that the firmware update is not yet available to everyone, even though it has not been a long time since its introduction, according to the previous custom.

Other things that Microsoft will continue to address include fixing issues with activating Dolby Atmos effects, while Microsoft is aware of bugs in the use of Dolby Vision while playing and is also working hard on some shortcomings with main menu localizations. Unfortunately, it is not known at this time how to work new the dashboard will show or not support HDR support and what the change will do with the planned night mode. Microsoft talked about it about a week ago and also made it available to Alpha Skip-Ahead users. It does exactly what you can imagine under this function – that is, inverting the color of too bright areas, reducing the intensity of the LED on the controller and even on the launch button of the entire console. However, the night mode will also have its own settings, in which, for example, it will be possible to turn on the reduction of the intensity of blue light and other functions. Even in this case, the implementation into sharp firmware, but apparently even night mode is not too far.
