The release of The Last of Us Part I on PC is postponed for a few weeks

The Last of Us Part I on PC will no longer be released on March 3, but on March 28. Naughty Dog, which takes care of the development, announces it in a tweet. Players will therefore have to wait a little longer, although the postponement is correct since it is about 25 days and not several months.

Here’s what Naughty Dog says

Fans of The Last of Us,

Let’s cut to the chase: we originally announced that The Last of Us Part I would release on PC on March 3, but we’ve decided to push back its launch date by just a few weeks; it will now be released on March 28. At the studio, we’ve been completely blown away by the outpouring of love and support The Last of Us has received over the past few weeks. Hearing your love for the HBO adaptation, seeing your gorgeous photos in Photo Mode, and learning how the world and characters our studio created nearly a decade ago continue to resonate with new and old fans fills us every day. We know many of you have revisited the story that started it all with The Last of Us Part I on PlayStation 5, and we realize that many of you are eager to join in — some for the first time — when Part I hits PC.

So we want to make sure that The Last of Us Part I debut on PC goes as smoothly as possible. These few extra weeks will allow us to ensure that this version of The Last of Us lives up to your, and our, expectations. We are very excited to bring The Last of Us Part I to a new platform, to reach players new and old with Joel and Ellie’s unforgettable survival story, and we hope you continue to looking forward to its PC release on March 28th. The Naughty Dog team thanks you for your support and enthusiasm, and we can’t wait to tell you more about the PC version of The Last of Us Part I.

Series The Last of Us from HBO (which airs on Amazon Prime Video in France) will see its 10th and final episode of season 1 air on March 12 (March 13 in France with the time difference). PC players will therefore be able to enjoy the entire season before playing the game.
