The new Xiaomi HyperCharge breaks (unnecessary?) Records
As announced yesterday through posters and social media posts, Xiaomi unveiled its new charging technology on the last day of May HyperCharge. In terms of “paper” data, it exceeds the existing ones performance ceilings for wired and wireless charging. Xiaomi HyperCharge offers 200 W of power when charging via cable and 120 W without it. It is not yet clear which mobiles the Chinese company intends to introduce its new standard. For the time being, however, she has chosen the Mi 11 Pro model for the demonstration. In the video, he proves, among other things, the above-mentioned values. The numbers look amazing at first glance, but they also raise a lot of questions. For example, whether the current world of mobile phones needs such charging at all. And if in the foreseeable future it will be at all. Then there is the page safety, sustainability and even battery life, which was about the last overcoming of charging power by Xiaomi enough to be considered. So far, Xiaomi HyperCharge seems more like a shiny marketing lure than a practically usable and, above all, guaranteed safe technology.
What do you say to such a record? Would you use these speeds?
