Stalker 2 reports back with a sign of life

Actually, the development odyssey of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl should end this year with a release on December 8, 2022. However, since the survival shooter is being developed in Ukraine and the country is currently having to defend itself against a Russian invasion, the status of the responsible developer studio GSC Games World was unclear for some time.

Now the Ukrainian studio is back with two videos! Next to one Developer Diarywhich shows the current situation of individual employees in a war-torn country, also exists a new trailer to see Stalker 2.

Where “to see” in this case is relative. The trailer with the name “Enter the Zone” is particularly impressive with its dark imageswhich hardly reveal anything at the beginning of the video.

Still, the fans are excited, the trailer arouses nostalgic feelings in many. After all, the first part is now 15 years old. In the YouTube comments, one reads above all anticipation of being able to enter the zone again soon.

What are the Stalker games about?

The alternate world of Stalker existed in the 2000s another reactor accident in Chernobyl. This created numerous mutations and strange phenomena. As a player, you enter this inhospitable zone in order to salvage valuable artefacts.

The focus of the game is strongly on survival elements. So in Stalker 2 you not only have to fight all kinds of abnormal enemies, you also have to keep an eye on your hunger and sleep. And dangerous radiation also plays a central role.
