the new flagship with competitive price

OnePlus has just announced the new OnePlus 11, the successor to the OnePlus 10 Pro and 10T that appeared last year. The company’s new smartphone was previously announced for China, now we get to know all the European details.

OnePlus 11 for Europe

The high word is out; the OnePlus 11 is coming to Europe. The smartphone manufacturer officially announced the device for our market this afternoon. This means that the device will also come to the Netherlands and Belgium. Smartphones have been in the news a lot lately. The new OnePlus 11 promises to be another powerful phone, with the smartphone equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. You can choose from two memory versions; 8GB RAM+128GB or 16GB RAM+256GB storage. The version with 256GB of memory has support for UFS 4.0 and processes (reads and writes) files even faster.

On the outside we see a 6.7 inch screen. An AMOLED panel with a QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen offers a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120Hz, Dolby Vision, LTPO 3.0 and a pixel density of 525ppi. The device is available in black and green. The black-colored is provided with so-called microspheres that offer a higher resistance to sweat and fingerprints. The green-colored one has a special coating that should prevent fingerprints.

In terms of photography, OnePlus has again received the help of Hasselblad. There is a 50-megapixel main camera in the device, along with a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens with 32 megapixels. According to OnePlus, the portrait mode is able to take pictures just as good as an SLR camera, even in dark environments. We asked OnePlus what the differences are between the Hasselblad collaboration with the 11 and with previous editions. This would be due to the new generation of color calibration, richer colors, less bending and a better white balance setting. This should result in a less yellow or blue haze.

Thanks to optimizations in the software, at least 18 or 44 applications can remain in the background, depending on the chosen working memory. In addition, the camera is immediately available, so you never have to wait for a picture to be taken.

Just like Samsung, OnePlus promises a very good update policy. The OnePlus 11 can count on four Android updates. In addition, the brand promises five years of security updates. These security patches are rolled out once every two months. Samsung does this monthly, but certainly not a bad step from OnePlus.

You can order the OnePlus 11 from today at OnePlus, Mobile and Belsimpel. The 8GB + 128GB will cost you 829 euros, the 16GB + 256GB is over the counter for 899 euros. This makes the OnePlus 11 clearly more affordable than Samsung’s high-end smartphones; the Galaxy S23 series. We have collected the prices of those models for you here. The OnePlus 11 will be delivered from February 16.

OnePlus also announced other new products on Tuesday afternoon, including OnePlus Pad.
