No time right now?

Apple has been running its own online store since 1997. And since then, all new products have also been announced via it. A Youtuber took the trouble to bring the Apple Store to life in screenshots over the past 20 years.

The compilation of the Apple screenshots started in 1999 and shows countless screenshots for almost eleven minutes with all the essential messages and innovations that the Californian company wanted to communicate. From the colorful iBook to the first and all subsequent iPhones or the availability of the Beatles music catalog and Apple Music to the latest devices for 2020, Apple nostalgics and active fans will find complete documentation of the activities of the constantly changing manufacturer from Cupertino.

The Youtuber, who calls himself Aves, does not provide any further information on the origin of the screenshots used. In our opinion, these are recordings from the Wayback Machine of the Internet Archive, which were switched one after the other here.

Nostalgics should also be interested in the Version Museum. There are historical collections of various manufacturers and products. Here at t3n we had already presented the history of Adobe Photoshop.

There is a similar overview but also about Apple’s story there. In contrast to the YouTube video above, which deals with the Apple online store, which Steve Jobs only presented at the end of 1997, the Version Museum started in 1994. The Web Design Museum looks at it from a slightly different perspective, but also with the participation of Apple to the last almost 30 years.
