More and more is becoming clear about the iPhone 15. It is now known that the iPhone 15 Pro will be very thick – at least in the literal sense of the word. What’s up with that?

iPhone 15 Pro dimensions leaked
The iPhone 15 Pro will not appear until September, but a lot is already clear about the new phone. The exact dimensions of the new iPhone have been leaked, revealing a number of major changes. Striking here: the iPhone 15 Pro will be slightly smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro, but a lot thicker.

The smaller housing of the iPhone 15 Pro probably has to do with the thinner screen edges of the phone. The iPhone 15 Pro probably has the same 6.1-inch screen, but due to the thinner edges, the outside of the phone is slightly smaller. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the thickness of the phone: the iPhone 15 is again thicker than its predecessor.

Cameras protrude enormously on the iPhone 15 Pro
So Apple makes the camera island on the back of the phone bigger again. This isn’t necessarily bad news: the iPhone 15 Pro’s lenses are expected to be more advanced than the iPhone 14 Pro’s cameras. As a result, the new iPhone probably has some cool new camera functions.
It remains to be seen whether the iPhone 15 Pro will actually get the long-awaited periscope lens, this lens is intended to zoom in much further than is possible with the iPhone 14 Pro so far. In any case, it is expected that the iPhone 15 Pro can zoom in (much) further than we have seen with an iPhone so far.
The positions of the cameras are unchanged, with three cameras and a LiDAR scanner on the back of the device. The leaked images of the iPhone 15 Pro are not yet final, Apple can still adjust the design. However, it is not expected that much will change in the design, so the photos give us a good idea of what to expect.
