The iPhone 15 Plus is revealed in renderings: thinner borders, Dynamic Island and USB-C

Make way today for the iPhone 15 Plus which is revealed thanks to renderings based on CAD files. These are the files typically used in factories for testing and production.

The renderings of 9to5Mac confirm some information that had already circulated. The iPhone 15 Plus will have the right to the Dynamic Island, like the standard model. The Dynamic Island made its debut last year with the iPhone 14 Pro and comes to replace the notch. All iPhone 15 models will have it, while it was reserved for the Pro line last year.

Another confirmation is the presence of the USB-C port instead of the Lightning port. Apple will comply with the European directive which obliges manufacturers to switch to USB-C.

The renders also reveal that the iPhone 15 Plus will have slightly thinner bezels than the iPhone 14 Plus. There is also talk of slightly rounded edges for a better transition from the front to the back of the device.

We also have the right to the dimensions and there are small changes with a slightly wider model and a thicker pile. The iPhone 15 Plus is 160.87 x 77.76 x 7.81mm, where the iPhone 14 Plus is 160.84 x 78.07 x 7.79mm. This would be partly explained by the photo block which is announced to be even bigger than the one currently offered.

As a reminder, there have been several leaks, photos and renders this week. We got a photo of the iPhone 15 Pro’s USB-C port, renders of the iPhone 15 Pro, photos of a prototype iPhone 15, and a potential 6.2-inch screen.
