The Honor 90 and 90 Pro are official and they already seduce us
Honor presented two new smartphones in China. They are called Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro. They replace the Honor 70 and 70 Pro, the first having enjoyed an international career and very positive reviews. Among the advantages of these two smartphones, you will find a 200 megapixel ISOCELL sensor, a large battery and fast charging. Honor has already announced that the two terminals will also benefit from international versions with GMS included.
Honor was hosting a new smartphone launch in China today. If you know the brand’s release schedule, you obviously won’t be surprised by the identity of these new terminals: it’s the Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro. They arrive six months after the Honor 80 and 80 Pro, marketed only in China, and a year after the Honor 70 and 70 Pro. The classic model is sold in France and received generally positive reviews upon its arrival. We can’t advise you enough to take a look at our full test.

The Honor 90 has therefore been announced, with its Pro version. The start of marketing is set for June 7 in China, with prices ranging from 2499 yuan (330 euros) to 3899 yuan (515 euros) depending on model and storage volume. Note that Honor has also confirmed that at least one of the two phones will benefit from an international career, with a version of Magic OS equipped with GMS (in order to reassure consumers and to snub Huawei, which does not still don’t have any). France should obviously be one of the countries concerned. It remains to be seen how many models we will have, what configurations, what colors and of course… what prices!
The Honor 90 Pro is a very attractive smartphone on paper
Let’s briefly present the two phones, since we will have plenty of opportunity to come back to their technical sheets when they arrive in Europe (if they both arrive). And let’s start with the most ambitious: the Honor 90 Pro, whose technical sheet is eyeing towards the Magic range. Here are the different details of the technical sheet to remember:
- 6.7-inch 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display
- Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 7 Gen 1
- 12 or 16 GB of RAM
- 256 GB or 512 GB of storage
- Battery 5000mAh fast charge compatible 66 watts
- Triple photo sensor 200+12+2 megapixels
- 50 megapixel selfie sensor
- Fingerprint reader under the screen
- WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC
- Android 13 and Magic OS 7.1
Let’s continue with the Honor 90. Here are the main features to keep in mind:
- 6.78-inch 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display
- Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
- 12 or 16 GB of RAM
- 256 GB or 512 GB of storage
- Battery 5000mAh fast charge compatible 90 watts
- Triple photo sensor 200+12+32 megapixels with 2.5x optical zoom
- Dual selfie sensor 50+2 megapixels
- Fingerprint reader under the screen
- Dual speaker
- WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC
- Android 13 and Magic OS 7.1
The two smartphones are very different from each other, both technically and in terms of design. Of course, Honor retains, in both cases, certain characteristic ergonomic lines, such as the double-circle photo module. But there is a subtlety. Look at the shape of these circles: it is slightly different from one model to another. Also, the Honor 90 is slightly smaller, thinner and lighter than the Pro version. It is also 25% cheaper for an equal storage volume. See you now this summer to find out more about the French version(s) we will benefit from.
