In the “Homescreen!” series we present the homescreens of people from the social media, marketing, media and tech industries – including app recommendations and tips for everything from to-do lists to small games in between. Today: Benedikt Stolze, founder and CEO of Urbify.

As with many young entrepreneurs, my professional life and private life are becoming increasingly blurred. That’s why my home screen is a mix of apps I use as the founder and CEO of Urbify and those I often use before, between or after work.

Benedikt Stolze: Apps for my everyday work

With the start-up Urbify, we have specialized in next- and same-day delivery, which is why things often have to be done quickly. That’s why it’s important to me to always have the opportunity to be in contact with my team and to enable good cooperation with everyone.

Google Meet (for Android) is therefore an essential app for me to be able to attend my meetings flexibly from anywhere. In addition, My Business must not be missing from my home screen, so that I am always up to date with what our customers think about Urbify.

That’s why I regularly check what their opinions are and what we can do even better with our service. The entire Google Suite enables fast and, above all, uncomplicated collaboration with my team and everyone has access to all important and relevant documents at all times. Not only is the work contemporary, but the collaboration is also fun.

There is no professional and private separation with these apps

Of the Google calendar (for Android) keeps me from forgetting my business and private appointments and motivates me to maintain a healthy work-life balance. It is also important to me to always be informed. Apart from industry-relevant news, I am of course also interested in economic events from all over the world.

To stay up to date, apps like help me Google news (for Android), Handelsblatt (for Android) and crunch base (for Android). With the app note (for Android) we share both our knowledge and other insights that are important for collaboration in our organization.

For myself, I use Notion for my weekly/daily to-dos because it’s quick and easy. That way I don’t forget anything and can check off individual tasks again and again.

Privacy is still allowed

I usually pursue my passion for cooking in the evenings after work. I like to use the recipes from Cookidoo app (for Android) from Thermomix. Since sometimes things have to be done quickly, apps like Wolt (for Android) and Nimble (for Android) are also not missing.

Also an important part: Spotify (for Android). Because I actually listen to music all the time when the situation allows it. In my opinion, there is nothing better to calm down, especially when driving a car.
