The event for the next generation of the internet
Reinventing the possibilities of the internet has never been more exciting than it is today. Crypto and blockchain technologies tear down barriers to entry and give developers and entrepreneurs the tools to use decentralized finance (Defi), non-fungible tokens (NFT), play-to-earn gaming, decentralized social media and many more, create completely new online experiences. It is the next step in the evolution of the Internet – the birth of Web 3.0.
For the first time, the DFINITY Foundation is organizing the Web3 UnBlocked Event in cooperation with t3n. Web 3.0 unites the potential and creativity of the early Internet and creates the opportunity to develop decentralized apps and services that create real added value for users. With the help of blockchain technology and smart contracts, companies can implement DApps for the broad market in the free Internet and thus open the door to many more possibilities. The coming years will show how profound the changes Web 3.0 will be for our lives – but it is already comparable to the dot-com and mobile web boom.

The event offers all interested parties and those who want to become one an insight into what Web 3.0 exactly is, what opportunities it offers and what the future looks like. In addition, Dominic Williams presents the Internet computer of the DFINITY Foundation, and founders who have already implemented their decentralized projects explain to us why they chose this model of all things – and what advantages it all offers us.
The event will start with a 30-minute keynote by DFINITY founder Dominic Williams, who has already been represented at a large number of events and has organized his own event with Forbes. This is followed by a panel made up of Peter Grosskopf, former CTO of Boerse Stuttgart Digital Exchange and now co-founder of Unstoppable Finance, and Raffaela Rein, Forbes Top 50 Women in Tech, on what Web 3.0 actually is and what the future looks like . Afterwards, viewers have the chance to ask their own questions.
It continues with presentations of already existing projects that are running on the Internet computer of the DFINITY Foundation, carried out by the respective founding teams from District, Fleek, Openchat and Poked Studios.
The subsequent second panel goes into technical detail and brings together speakers such as Philipp Sandner, Head of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, Adina Popescu, founder of ÆRTH, a data-based environment and climate platform, and Regine Haschka Helmer, Director Market Strategy Iota Foundation .
Finally, a workshop shows how interested parties can make use of the potential of Web 3.0. In other words: the full program!
