The eSIM is now available at Prixtel

Prixtel announces the availability of the eSIM for its customers, whether new or existing. The NVMO says it has carried out tests for several months to ensure the proper functioning of this new system. Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free Mobile already offer this format.

The eSIM is a SIM card integrated directly into the equipment (smartphone, tablet, connected watch, etc.) and all you have to do is download a QR Code to activate it. There is therefore no need to wait to receive a physical SIM card by mail to take advantage of your mobile plan.

The other advantage of eSIM is to be able to use two different lines on the same phone, even if it only has one physical SIM card slot (provided it is eSIM compatible). So you no longer have to juggle two phones. Convenient for those who have a personal line and a professional line.

New customers can choose the eSIM when they subscribe to a Prixtel package if they ask to keep their current phone number (the eSIM is not yet available for line creations with a new number). The eSIM will be activated the day their line is ported to Prixtel. To take advantage of the eSIM, all you have to do is download your QR Code in the customer area, section Lines > Info and documents.

For their part, current subscribers can switch to the eSIM in their customer area, by ordering a new SIM. The eSIM is also offered in the event of loss or theft of the phone. Once the order has been placed, they can activate the eSIM in the Lines > Manage my line section, then download the QR Code in the Info and documents tab.

The eSIM activation fee is €10 (or €5 for Prixtel lines that are more than a year old).
