The CEO of VONQ uses these apps

In the “Homescreen!” series we present the homescreens of people from the social media, marketing, media and tech industries – including app recommendations and tips for everything from to-do lists to small games in between. Today: Arno Schäfer, CEO of FROMQ.

communication is everything

At VONQ we use in particular for team communication Slack (for Android). For this reason, Slack is probably the most used app on my home screen. Staying in touch with people is very important to me.

I use it for that LinkedIn (for Android), Facebook (for Android), Messenger (for Android) or also Whatsapp (for Android). And in order not to forget flashes of inspiration again, there is the practical notes app, with which I record these thoughts in keywords. Admittedly, the app is quite old-fashioned, but very efficient. I particularly value LinkedIn.

It’s great for networking there. And there’s a lot going on there, too. If I only think about the huge amount of high-quality content on all kinds of topics that is published there. This is valuable knowledge that we all benefit from.

As a company representative, I use the platform in particular for recruiting, HR or tech topics, take an active position on them and discuss and comment on them.

I see that as an essential component of my everyday life at the head of a global recruiting company. From time to time I also post private stuff. But that has to be something very special – like my participation in the Burning Man Festival.

Urban mobility with a minimal ecological footprint

Mobility on the job is of course extremely important. I try to leave as small an ecological footprint as possible. The Share Now app (for Android) very contrary.

It helps me schedule city trips by car, and the share aspect ensures maximum sustainability. A positive side effect: the app has meant that I hardly ever use my own car in Hamburg anymore.

Dive down in no time

Because I really like taking photos and I take a lot, of course, the classic photo app should not be missing. There I manage all the pictures of trips, appointments, events or even snapshots that are taken, for example, while waiting for the subway or at the Burning Man Festival.

Especially from the pictures of this event I live enormously. The visual excursion into the Utopia world of the Burning Man Festival is a good balance, especially after strenuous appointments. The photo app helps me to immerse myself in this parallel universe in a very short time.

information and sports

As a football fan, that keeps me going 11Freunde app (for Android) Up to date. It’s similar with the latest from politics, business and society: That’s what I have for me mirror app (for Android) the first choice.

Despite a full-time job, ongoing appointments and countless business trips: sport is a must. Help me with that Pakama (for Android), the app for sport in between. I travel very often with the handy sports equipment, follow my performance progress or get tips from professionals or my community. I really recommend this app.
