The beta version of the Diablo II remaster will start on Friday -apkrig
If the developers from Vicarious Visions do not encounter unexpected problems, players will be able to start playing the remaster of Diablo II by the end of September. Before that, however, it is necessary to test another portion of the content, which will be used by the upcoming beta test. For players who have pre-ordered Diablo II: Resurrected, it will start this Friday, for everyone else a week later and with a relatively generous range of content. Compared to the already completed alpha test, two more classes of heroes will come to the fore – druid and paladin, players will be able to try cooperation for up to eight players or PvP duels and will continue to have two introductory acts from the campaign, newly supplemented by reworked cutscenes.
According to Blizzard in the new blog, the beta will be available on all target platforms except Switch – on the PC and both generations of PlayStation and Xbox consoles. You will be able to use the cross-progress function, thanks to access through the Battle.net account, only on consoles it is necessary to constantly think about active membership in PlayStation Plus, resp. Xbox Live Gold. But it’s not that easy, because while you’ll need Xbox Live Gold to play in the first phase, you don’t need it in the open phase. On PlayStation, membership will not be required for both beta phases at all, but in the case of the full version on both console families, active membership will be required for multiplayer play. And if you ask why the beta will not be available on the Switch, Blizzard does not add any explanation, but confirms that the Switch version also offers a bonus to Diablo III in the form of a Heritage of Arreat transmog.
The developers also confirmed that, unlike the alpha test, no one will be attacked by players until the game is just loading, explaining that any beta progress will not be possible to transfer to the full version, which will arrive on September 23rd. In beta, for obvious reasons, it will not be possible to use your own saved position from the original Diablo II, which is a feature that will again be available in the full version. But nothing changes about it and it is undoubtedly a great attraction for loyal fans. And with the game available on consoles, the PC version will also offer driver support; however, the developers point out that its functionality is still under development and will be limited during the beta test.
So if you want to get involved, you will have the opportunity to download early access from today and wait only for unlocking on Friday from 7 pm, or from August 17 on consoles, respectively. On August 18, the PC will run a preload of open beta and be ready on August 20 also from 7 p.m.
