The authors of Frostpunk 2 strongly opposed the -apkrig resellers

One week ago, developers from 11 bit studios announced the continuation of the Frostpunk strategy. After the DLC series, the Polish team wants to build on the original game with something bigger and hopes that they will be able to build on the huge success that Frostpunk has brought to fans of strategy. Even now – at a time when we don’t know the release date yet and we haven’t seen anything de facto from the game, however, the developers have to solve problems with resellers of game keys, who are obviously not afraid of anything at all. On the Kinguin portal, which, like the G2A, allows anyone to offer interested parties the keys, which come mostly from anywhere, but not directly from developers or distributors, Frostpunk 2 pre – orders appeared and people from 11 bit studios could only shake their heads incomprehensibly.

“We don’t know the price ourselves yet, we don’t even have any keys, and some fucking impostor is already selling Frostpunk 2 under the roof of other Kinguin bastards,” someone asked in shock on the game’s official twitter account. Of course, there is also a picture where Frostpunk 2 for the version on the Epic Games Store is “available” for 145 zlotys, and if you searched at the moment, you would find a Steam key on the portal for around 830 crowns. The seller is the G2Play portal, which, however, belongs to the Kinguin family, which is something to do with proudly already reports in his log. The developers also point out that the Frostpunk 2 pre-order offer already has the PEGI rating, despite the fact that the developers have not yet submitted the game for review and that a trailer for the Epic Games Store is included with the Steam key offer. Therefore, the developers call the whole situation ridiculous, but duly dangerous, because on the one hand, by buying this “non-key”, one cannot be guaranteed to actually receive it, and on the other hand, players are confused and seemingly legitimized to something that is definitely not legitimate.

A fake pre-order still exists. We won’t get anything from it and you are not guaranteed that you will receive the game.

A short time ago, the developers thanked all the fans and the media, which informed their readers about the problem and emphasized that the only right place to show interest in the game is at GOG, Steam and Epic Games Store. “A fake pre-order still exists. We won’t get anything from it and you are not guaranteed that you will receive the game. If you like Frostpunk and you think you might also be interested in Frostpunk 2, add the game to your wish list, “the developers refer to the mentioned platforms. However, the whole case reopens with an unpleasant topic in which the interests of developers and publishers – legitimately selling their games – are opposed to dealers and, in many cases, fraudsters, who on the other hand make money on keys in extreme cases of alienation, in the more common cases on keys from promo events or various bundles. We wrote repeatedly that this was a real problem, and Czech developers from Wube Software, the authors of Factoria, were also involved in one of the cases. They demanded from G2A their money back from unauthorized sales of keys to their game. However, the topic returns cyclically and unfortunately for the uninformed part of the players, or rather for those who feel that whatever is on the Internet is completely free, it still does not resonate enough.
