Must-have Android apps from Paul
It’s that time again, the end of the year is in sight and then it’s time for the well-known annual overviews. Not always interesting, but when it comes to apps, it’s always nice to look back at which apps have proved indispensable in the past year.
FNG
FNG stands for Fluid Navigation Gestures. With this app you have the possibility to customize navigation gestures. I like using gestures in addition to the traditional navigation bar. By default you have the choice between one of these options. FNG makes it possible to have both gestures and a navigation bar and so you can navigate through your apps with ease. A disadvantage is that the app is no longer maintained.
Niagara launcher
In the past year I have started using a different launcher than in previous years. Previously I used Nova launcher or Action launcher. Not that Nova or Action launcher are bad, but Niagara fits my smartphone better at the moment. Nice and minimal, but still enough options to decorate to your own taste.
Spotify
Indispensable for years and proved indispensable again this year. During work, in the shower or while driving, Spotify is almost always on. I have a playlist for every occasion. This also makes it less interesting to switch to another service. That is why I expect Spotify to be in the top 5 again next year.
Over the past year, and especially recently, I’ve started using Instagram more than before. However, I don’t have a clear reason, it’s just nice to see beautiful photos, funny images and of course the stories of family and friends. And of course don’t forget the chat function for not too serious conversations.
This app has proved indispensable again in the past year. Not so much because I think it’s a great app, but more because most family and friends use it and I like to keep in touch with them. One of my wishes remains that WhatsApp becomes a stand-alone app for other devices, without you having to stay connected.
