This is how Eddie practiced on the Metallica scene in Stranger Things 4

Eddie actually played the guitar for much of the Metallica scene in Stranger Things.

Stranger Things season 4 had some memorable moments when it comes to music. If you still haven’t seen the fourth season, I advise you not to read this article. Otherwise you will read spoilers and that wouldn’t be fun of course.

In the fourth season of Stranger Things, Kate Bush was of course already brought to the surface. But the very last episode also featured a beautiful musical finale of character Eddie, played by actor Joseph Quinn. The actor played Metallica’s Master of Puppets on his guitar in the Upside Down. He wanted to use the music to distract the bats that would otherwise be targeting his friends.

Eddie in Stranger Things

It was an unparalleled scene that also caught the attention of Metallica itself. Quinn wasn’t just dangling on the guitar in the scene. The actor can really play the guitar and also played the song itself for much of the scene.

However, there was also a beautiful solo in the series on Netflix. That was a bit too ambitious for Quinn. In an interview, the actor says that a guitarist named Aiden took care of the solo.
