The 2022 MacBook Air wouldn’t have as many colors as the iMac

Apple will offer a new MacBook Air and it could well be announced on Monday at the WWDC keynote, but we should not expect several colors according to Mark Gurman.

The Bloomberg Reporter said expect space gray, gold and silver models, as is the case today. The gold model would be more champagne than anything else. Also, there would also be a blue model. But it would stop there. We would not be at the level of the iMac for which Apple offers no less than seven colors.

If we are to believe the rumors that have been circulating, the new laptop will have white borders around the screen, as well as a keyboard with white keys. The iMac already has white bezels and this design doesn’t appeal to everyone, but Apple seems to like it and would offer it here as well.

The new MacBook Air would also be entitled to a revised chassis, similar to that of the MacBook Pro. Should we expect a notch on the upper part of the screen?

Another element concerns the chip that will equip the machine. Rumors point to the M2 chip. This would be the first Mac with this chip. Other leaks point to an upgraded M1 chip. It’s still unclear at this point.
