Apple raises new iPhone battery prices

Do you want to replace the battery of your iPhone soon? Then we have bad news, because Apple has increased the prices for a new iPhone battery. You used to pay a minimum of 55 euros for a new battery with an iPhone 6, 7, 8 and SE. With an iPhone X or newer, a new battery even cost 75 euros. These prices have now risen even further. How much does a new battery for your iPhone cost?

Since March 1, Apple has increased the rates for a new battery for your iPhone. You now pay 79 euros for a new battery of an iPhone SE, iPhone 8 or older model. With an iPhone X or newer, you can pay 99 euros for a new battery from 1 March. So you spend 24 euros more for a replacement battery than before.

With an iPhone 14, the price for replacing the battery has not changed. That’s a good thing: you already paid 119 euros for a new battery of the iPhone 14. That is already quite more than with an older iPhone.

This is when you need to have the iPhone battery replaced

Do you want to know if your iPhone needs a new battery? You can easily check this in your phone’s settings under ‘Battery > Battery condition and charging’. This overview shows the battery capacity of your phone. The lower this percentage, the worse the condition of the battery in your iPhone.

If this percentage is 80 percent or lower, it is advisable to purchase a new battery. In that case you will really notice that your iPhone battery has deteriorated and your battery will run out much faster.

It is also possible to have your battery replaced at an Apple Store or to send it to Apple itself. Of course it is also possible to replace your battery at an authorized Apple service provider.

Since this month you have to put down quite a bit of extra money if you want to have your iPhone battery replaced by Apple, so it is advisable to use the iPhone battery sparingly.

Always check your warranty before replacing the battery, because Apple replaces the batteries that fall within the warranty period free of charge. When you buy a new iPhone, you have a standard one-year warranty with Apple.
