TFM: The First Men – -apkrig

TFM: The First Men may seem like another colony-building strategy at first glance, but it’s quite unique in several ways: From the painted graphic style through the tactical combat component to the very origins of the game’s creators.

At TFM: The First Men, the hitherto unknown Turkish studio Gathering Tree from Istanbul is working on the concept of Adam and Eve. In the game you will try to build a functioning company from the first two people, who will not be just nameless figures.

It’s supposed to be believable people who will go through all sorts of stories with you. As your colonies evolve, so will they, and over time they will become an integral part of the emerging community. You can count on the usual systems of collecting resources, building all sorts of buildings, assigning jobs to individual residents and so on, as you are used to from RimWorld, which inspired the novelty.

At TFM: The First Men, you also set out to explore the outside world with a select group of capable fighters. That’s when the game becomes an action RPG with real-time battles full of the strangest enemies, without the possibility of pausing the fight, thinking, giving orders to the fighters and continuing the fight.

The game attracts not only story scenarios, but also procedurally generated worlds and competitive skirmish maps for multiplayer purposes. From the beginning, there is also support for the Modder community, and there will be a map editor right in the game.

TFM: The First Men sounds and looks promising and we can only hope that another gem of the indie scene is born in Istanbul. We will first try the game in a preliminary approach, which should be launched soon and will last at least two years.
